InFocus has launched a new handset in India named the InFocus A2. This handset is running Android Nougat out of the box, features a 5 inch screen with HD resolution, however it is powered by Spreadtrum quad core processor that many users will simply ignore.

InFocus A2 is targeted at offline customers and will be available in offline stores for now. Handset price is high at Rs. 5,199. For this price you can get a  better and Snapdragon powered smartphones in India.

InFocus A2 Specifications

This dual SIM handset features a 5 inch screen with 2.5D curved glass and supports 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Inside the hood it is using Spreadtrum SC9832 quad core processor with Mali 400 GPU.  The InFocus A2 comes loaded with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, plus there is provision to use micro SD card of up to 32GB.

A2 is 8.9mm thick, houses a 2400 mAh battery and supports 4G, VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Coming to the camera, there is a 5MP camera on the front and a 5MP camera on the rear with LED flash support.

InFocus A2 is priced at Rs. 5,199. First off all this handset is spreadtrum powered and if brands are using this chipset then the price should be way lower than Snapdragon chipset. You all know there are Snapdragon powered handsets like the Redmi 5A already selling for Rs. 4,999, why would anyone opt for the InFocus A2.

Now this handset will be sold in offline markets may be targeting users who have not heard of / have no access to Mi Home stores. With the InFocus A2 users will also get (up to) 30GB additional 4G data from Reliance and Rs. 300 from MobiKwik.
