Idea Mobiles in India are now offering their branded android based phone, the Idea Blade with 3G support for price under Rs. 7,900 and with host of benefits like free 3G data usage for 30 days with 1 GB limit, valid for 3 months – benefits worth Rs. 3,500.
When you look at the phone you will immediately realise that you have seen this model before. Well this phone has been in the market and also selling as ZTE blade. There are companies who are selling thus under their own brand name but the real model name is Dell XCD35. So guys in reality this is a Dell XCD35 android phone. But if you compare the price, the Dell XCD35 is priced more than the ZTE blade or the Idea Blade.
Why you should buy the Idea Blade instead of Dell XCD35
First of all Idea has promised, …well promised so am not sure about this, but they say it is upgradable to 2.3 gingerbread (the current OS used is android 2.2). If the OS can be upgraded that’s great news but don’t take this seriously yet.

This Android handset is powered by a 600 MHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor with 512 MB RAM and running on the Android 2.2 Froyo OS. The capacitive touchscreen is 3.5 inches supporting 480 by 800 pixel resolution with 262 K colours.
There is only one primary camera of 3.2 MP resolution with video recording. The handset weighs 130 grams with 56.5 x 114 x 11.8 mm dimensions. Other features are Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, Opera mini browser, 3.5 mm jack, FM radio and multimedia player. MicroSD card up to 32 GB is supported.
