iBall has now launched the iBall Slide 3G – 7306 tablet with HSPA for high speed net connectivity, powered by a 1 GHz Single core Processor. The MRP is Rs. 16,499 but you can buy it for Rs. 15,499. The specifications are similar; it is just the 3G that adds more value to this device.

No more messing around with 3G dongles the Slide 3G 7307’s built in SIM slot supports HSPA+ which means you can surf at up to 7.2 Mbps (download) and up to 5.7 Mbps (uploads). The tab runs on Android 2.3 a.k.a. Gingerbread and does support phone functionality – you can receive calls, make calls and SMS.

The 7307 tablet has got a very attractive design, sleek and with 3 touch-sensitive dedicated buttons. The tab weight is less than 500 grams (450 grams) and sails on single core 1 GHz processor. There is 8 GB internal storage with microSD support for extendable memory of up to 32 GB.

The sound quality is really good with dual stereo speakers. The display screen is 7 inches with capacitive touch technology.  There is a normal or direct USB port, HDMI port and 3.5 mm jack. There is no built in GPS.

iBall Slide 3G-7307 is available from VeeDee for Rs. 15,990 with free shipping.

The iBall did get it right by launching a tab with built in 3G, however the price tag is way beyond the affordability range. Built in 3G is good option and what many users are looking for but it is the price tag that users are still not happy about.

A price of Rs. 15,990 for this iBall tablet, well I would rather spend some extra money and get a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 for Rs. 19,999 with 16 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab 2 (p3100) with 8 GB internal (yet to be launched) will be even cheaper and will definitely be the first choice when compared with the Slide 3G.
