iBall has launched a budget friendly smartphone in the Andi series – the Andi 5K Panther. This handset is powered by 1.4GHz octa core processor running KitKat (Android 4.4.2) out of the box. The price is at a tempting Rs. 10,499.

This also confirmed that the Micromax A290 A.K.A the unite Anthem will be an octa core. The 5K Panther supports dual SIM with dual standby mode. It houses a 5 inch IPS screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution.

This iBall Andi model is powered by 1.4GHz octa core processor – cortex A7 (chipset unknown). There is 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB external card support. Also included is a front facing 2MP camera and 8MP rear camera with LED flash. Rear camera is auto focus. There is accelerometer and proximity sensors plus FM radio with recording.

Key features are 3G (42Mbps), 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The iBall Andi 5K Panther comes with a removable battery of 1900 mAh capacity and will hit the stores soon for Rs. 10,499,now available online on ebay.in.

Probably within few days we will find some more octa core options for under Rs. 11,000.
