When everyone is looking for a dual core smartphone, iBall has launched the iBall Andi 4.3 that comes with dual batteries. Well its dual SIM as well as with Dual Batteries a total of 2530 mAh battery capacity.

Let’s start off with the unique feature the dual batteries. The iBall Andi 4.3j battery compartment has space for 2 batteries of 1630mAh and another 900 mAh capacity a total of 2530 mAH. Have a look at the image below to get an idea. The dual SIM slot and the MicroSD slot are completely hidden by the batteries.

The iBall Andi 4.3j is priced at under Rs. 10,000. The handset is powered by 1GHz Cortex A9 Processor running on the gingerbread OS (Android 2.3). The android 2.3 is indeed a disappointment and I am not sure if iBall will give it a 4.0 upgrade.

The 4.3 inch screen is capacitive touch with 800×480 pixels resolution.  There is 512MB RAM and 2GB internal storage with microSD support. Other features are Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and 3.5mm jack. I am not sure if there is a GPS receiver on this phone.

Andi 4.3j comes with a front VGA camera and a rear 5MP camera which can be further enhanced to 8MP via software. Don’t expect too much out of it. There are 3 sensors namely G-sensor, light and proximity.

The 1630 + 900 mAh battery (2530 mAh) will give a really good backup time an estimated over 2 days of moderate usage. The price tag of under 10K looks pretty good the only grudge is the Android 2.3 which should have been a 4.0 and GPS which I am still not sure of.
