At an event in London, Huawei launched the Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus smartphones. The P9 handset is priced at £449 that comes to approx ₹42K and the P9 Plus for £549 – approx ₹51K. Key highlight about the P9/P9 Plus is Kirin Octa Core chipset and 12MP dual cameras packed on the back.
Huawei P9 features and Specifications
This is a dual SIM handset – it comes with hybrid slot, you can either use 2x nano SIM or a nano SIM + Micro SD card. EMUI 4.1 sails over Android Marshmallow 6.0 over a 5.2 inch AMOLED screen with 2.5D glass and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
Huawei P9 comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. The handset also comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB variant. Users can use up to 128GB micro SD card. Smartphone weight is 144 grams with 3000 mAh battery and dimensions are 70.9 x 145 x 6.9 (mm). P9 is powered by Kirin 955 clocked at 2.5GHz with Mali T880 MP4 GPU.
A 12MP dual cameras is packed on the rear with dual tone LED flash. Rear camera comes with laser AF support with f/2.2 aperture and using Leica Summarit lens. Front camera is of 8MP resolution. P9 features are 4G LTE, 3G, USB Type C port, WiFi, GPS, Finger print sensor, IR blaster and NFC. Huawei P9 gets power from a 3000 mAh battery.

This is also a dual SIM (Hybrid) handset powered by 2.5GHz Kirin octa core processor @ 2.5GHz with Mali T880 MP4 GPU. EMUI 4.1 with Marshmallow runs over a 5.5 inch 2.5D curved AMOLED screen with full HD resolution. Huawei P9 comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and 128GB micro SD support.
There is 12MP dual cameras on the back and 8MP on the front – camera features are the same as seen on the P9 handset. Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, IR, FP sensor, GPS, WiFi, NFC and USB Type C port. P9 Plus gets power from a 3400 mAh battery (fast charging supported).
