Huawei launched a cheaper variant of Mate 9 called the Mate 9 Lite. The Huawei Mate 9 Lite also comes with dual cameras on the back along with finger print sensor. This handset is using Kirin 655 octa core chipset.
Huawei Mate 9 Lite is a dual SIM handset (a hybrid slot) sporting 5.5 inch 2.5D curved screen playing around with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Inside it gets power from Huawei Kirin 2.1GHz 64 bit 16nm Octa Core processor with Mali T830 GPU.
Mate 9 Lite sails on EMUI 4.1 over Marshmallow with optional 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM or 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM. Users can use dual SIM or use a micro SD card of up to 256GB. Handset weight is 162 grams and thickness is 8.2mm.
There is a finger print sensor on the back along with a 12MP PDAF camera + a 2MP camera. The camera on the front can shoot in 8MP resolution. The handset is loaded with following sensors accelerometer, proximity, light, magnetic and hall.
Additional features are 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 4.1. Huawei Mate 9 Lite houses a 3340 mAh non-removable battery.
