The Huawei Honor U8860 comes with 1.4 GHz processor and 205 Adreno GPU running android gingerbread OS. The handset has got many powerful features but the price is on the higher side at Rs. 19,990.

Huawei is new brand that has recently entered the Indian mobile market. The Honor U8860, no doubt has some excellent features and comes for a price, but Indian consumers will not be comfortable buying it,  it’s is a new brand and for the price you can get well known brands like Sony and Samsung.

The U8860 sails on the 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor with Adreno 205 GPU. This handset runs on gingerbread OS which is outdated and users today are looking for the android 4.0. Thankfully it is upgradeable to android 4.0.

Let’s start with the display screen which is 4 inch Gorilla Glass display capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 854 by 480 pixels. The handset weighs 135 grams and is 10.9 mm thin. The Huawei Honor comes with 4 GB internal memory and also supports microSD cards (32 GB).

Now this Huawei phone has got two cameras a front VGA and a rear 8 MP which is fantastic. Video recording with 1280 by 720 pixels at 30 fps is possible. Camera features are Geo Tagging and auto focus to name a few.

This handset supports 3G, comes with built in Wi-Fi (Hotspot), micro USB, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and DLNA. MP4, MP3, WAV, eAAC+, H.264  and H.263 media files are supported. There is also a built in FM radio for live entertainment. You will also find the 5 sensors that are commonly found on high end handsets (Accelerometer, Digital compass, Gyro Sensor, Proximity and Ambient light sensor). The U8860 houses a 1900 mAh Li-Po battery that gives standby time of 21 days on a 2G network.

Huawei Honor U8860 price in India is Rs. 19,990 | Best price : Rs. 19,200. The price tag is too high even though the specifications are impressive, but still many Indians will shy away from it. A price of Rs. 16,000 could have made a difference.
