The Huawei Ascend W1 and the Huawei Ascend D2 are now listed on the Huawei India website with a coming soon status. The Ascend W1 running on dual core processor with windows OS is expected to be priced at under Rs. 11,000.

This could be another low budget windows powered phone for approx Rs. 10,000.  The handset is 10.15mm thick and weight is less than 135 grams. W1 sports a 4 inch screen (IPS OGS) with 800×480 pixels resolution.

The Ascend W1 handset comes loaded with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (MSM8230) processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Windows Phone 8 runs the show with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Other features are 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi (b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1.

There is a primary camera of 5MP resolution placed on the rear side with LED support and another front facing camera with VGA resolution. The battery is of a good 1950 mAh capacity. The handset will compete with the Nokia Lumia 520 model.

Huawei Ascend D2
The water resistant D2 is 9.4 mm thick and weight is 170 grams. This D2 handset is powered by a quad core chipset (Hi-Silicon K3V2 + Balong V7R1) clocked at 1.5GHz. Ascend D2 sails on the Android 4.1 OS with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The touchscreen is 5 inches (Super Retina LCD screen) with resolution 1920×1080 pixels. There is 13MP rear AF camera with flash and a front 1.3MP. Full HD video recording and playback is supported.

Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4, DLNA and GPS. Battery is 3000 mAh capacity that gives a standby time of up to 6 days. We will have to wait for the official price confirmation.
