The 6.1 inch Huawei Ascend Mate Phablet is now available in India for a price tag of Rs. 24,900. This is a quad core handset sports a big screen with HD resolution and with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The Ascend Mate is powered by quad core Huawei K3V2 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz. The IPS LCD screen supports resolution of 1280×720 pixels (241 ppi) with 16M colours. The handset runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with Emotion UI over 2GB RAM. The internal storage is not known.

There is 8MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash support and a front secondary camera of 1MP resolution. The rear camera can record full HD videos at 30 fps and the front camera is capable of recording 720p videos at 30fps.

It is a single SIM (Micro SIM) supported handset with 9.9mm thickness and weight is just under 200 grams (198gm).  Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The handset comes loaded with magnetic, gyro, accelerometer and proximity sensors. There are no touch buttons on the front as seen in the image below.

The Huawei Ascend Mate comes with a 4050 mAh non-removable battery that gives a standby time of up to 9 days. This smartphone is priced at Rs. 24,900 and available via Infibeam.
