Huami Amazfit Pace is the best smartwatch that I have used and then came the Amazfit Bip and now the company has launched two new models the Huami Amazfit Watch 2 and the Huami Amazfit Watch 2S.
These new smart watches are water proof, you can take these underwater for up to 50 meters. Apart from the common features that we have seen on the Amazfit Pace the Amazfit Watch 2 / 2S will come with a some new modes – Swimming, mountaineering etc.
Huami Amazfit Watch 2 and 2S features and specifications
These are 1.2GHz dual core powered and features a 1.3 inch screen (E-ink like on Pace) with 320 x 300 pixels resolution, it’s touch screen and comes with 2.5D curved glass. There is 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
Huami Amazfit Watch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S comes with built in GPS (GLONASS), hear rate sensor, pressure sensor, gyro sensor, light sensor. It works with smartphones running Android 4.4 and iOS 9 and above. There is 280 mAh non-removable battery.
As far as the battery life is concerned it is as good as seen on the Amazfit Pace – you will get up to 5 days of battery life (30 minutes exercise every day) and up to 35 hours non-stop GPS usage / continuous heart rate monitor.
These Huami Amazfit Watch 2 and 2S will use Amazfit Watch 2.0 app, probably the Pace will also get the new app update. As far as the price is concerned the Watch 2 will be priced at RMB 999 (approx Rs. 9,800) and the Watch 2S will be priced at RMB 1499 (approx Rs. 14700). Amazfit Watch 2S will be more premium looking.
These Huami Amazfit Watch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S are expected to be available from January 2018.
