HTC Corp unveiled the HTC Titan II 4G mobile phone at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas. This is HTC’s first Windows phone with features that sounds just too good. The main being the amazing 16 megapixel camera and 4G support.
The 16 MP camera is definitely something which is new, exciting and could spell nightmare for digital camera manufactures. The HTC Titan II sports a 4.7 inch touchscreen display with capacitive technology and powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S2 processor running at 1.5 GHz.
This windows phone will be released in the US via AT&T in coming months, but Indian users will have to wait no official word yet. Let’s have a brief look at the HTC Titan II specifications and features.
The 16 MP camera coupled with wide angle lens and dual LED flash makes most compact cameras look outdated. The camera has all the function that you will find on a digital camera for example backside illuminated sensor, burst shot, panoramic shot, red eye reduction, auto focus and image stabilization to name a few.
The camera can be activated instantly by using the dedicated camera button. HD video recording is also supported (720p). There is also a front facing 1.3 MP camera for video calling and video chat.
The HTC Titan II will come with the latest windows phone OS and the 4G technology will make it possible to surf the net at extreme high speed. The 1730 mAh battery powers this handset with good battery life. Other features are GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Windows marketplace, large easy to use onscreen keyboard and support for outlook mobile/ office hub.
We do not know, yet when this handset will be made available in India and as for 4G, it still looks like a distant dream. The CES 2012 also saw the launch of Lenovo S2, Lenovo’s first android phone.
