Following the footsteps of Apple iPhone 5S, HTC has officially confirmed the HTC One Max handset that will run on Android 4.3, come with a bigger screen of 5.9 inches and just like the iPhone 5S it will also include, a finger print sensor placed on the rear.
The One MAX handset is expected to be announced on 16th October in Hong Kong. This device sports a 5.9 inch screen with full HD 1080p display. Handset runs on Android 4.3 + HTC Sense 5.5 with 2GB RAM and optional 16/32GB storage. There is micro SD support of up to 64GB.
The HTC One MAX is powered by 1.7GHz QUALCOMM Snapdragon 600 Krait 300 (APQ8064) quad core processor coupled with Adreno 320 GPU. A 2.1 MP front camera and 4MP UltraPixel camera on the rear side with flash is also included. Both front and rear cameras can record full HD videos with stereo sound. It was the Apple iPhone 5S that came up with the finger print concept on a smart phone and now HTC becomes the second company to implement it.
One MAX weighs around 217 grams and is 10.29mm thick. It is a single SIM (Micro SIM) handset. Other features are 4G, 3G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0, Boom Sound dual speakers, FM Radio and GPS with GLONASS / A-GPS.
There is Accelerometer, light, magnetic, gyro and proximity sensors. A 3300 mAh Li-Po (non removable) battery gives talk-time of up to 25 hours and standby time of up to 585 hours. The pricing details and release dates are not yet disclosed. And no word about its launch in India.
