HTC’s One M8 was leaked a few days back and now has gone official. The One M8 is powered by quad core clocked at 2.3GHz and runs on the Android 4.4.2 OS. This handset is available in selected markets and in India it might hit the stores in April 2014.

HTC One M8 handset comes with a Nano SIM slot and weighs about 160grams with 9.4mm thickness. Handset runs Android KitKat with HTC Sense UI version 6. The 5 inch screen is Super LCD 3 with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection supporting FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).

There is 2GB RAM, Micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB external cards and optional 16GB or 32GB internal storage. The One M8 comes with 5MP camera placed on the front with FHD video recording capabilities and HDR mode. The rear camera is Dual 4MP Auto Focus with dual LED flash. Rear camera can also record in 1080p@30fps with stereo sound recording.

M8 houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB Krait 400 quad core processor clocked at 2.3GHz (probably in India it will be clocked at 2.5Ghz). GPU is Adreno 330.There are accelerometer, magnetic, gyro, light and proximity sensors.

Key features are 4G, 3G, FM radio, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, infrared and Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n/ac) – Direct and Hotspot. M8 houses a 2600 mAh Li-po non-removable battery that gives talk time of up to 20 hours on 3G and 14 hours on 2G networks. Standby time is about 450 hours on 3G and 260 hours on 2G.

In India the HTC One M8 will hit the stores in April and will support the 4G networks in India. The One M8 price in India is currently unknown.
