HTC has launched a selfie smartphone called the Desire Eye with a 13 MP front camera with flash and another device the RE action camera with 16MP resolution and full HD video recording capabilities. HTC Desire Eye and the HTC RE action camera prices have not yet been disclosed.

HTC Desire Eye
This is single Nano SIM handset with 4G LTE support. It sports a 5.2 inch screen with FHD resolution. The handset runs Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with HTC Sense 6 UI. There is 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage and 128 GB external SD card support.

The Desire Eye is dust proof and water resistant. It includes a 13 megapixel rear auto focus camera with dual LED flash. And a 13 megapixel auto focus camera with dual LED flash on the front too. FHD video recording is supported.

The Eye is powered by 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core processor with Adreno 330 GPU. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, NFC, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. The 2400 mAh non-removable battery gives talk time of up to 20 hours on 3G networks.

HTC RE action camera
It is a little camera (periscope style) according to HTC, that works on iOS and Android platforms. RE is a 16 megapixel camera that can shoot 1080p videos. It comes with 146 degree wide angle lens and is waterproof.

You need to hold the device and it will switch on automatically. The RE action camera comes with 32 MB storage with 256 MB RAM, and it does support external micro SD cards. For connectivity there is micro USB port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

HTC Re action camera

This portable camera comes with 820 mAh battery that can record up to 100 minutes of continuous FHD videos @ 30fps or can shoot over 1000 still images on a complete charge.
