HTC’s two new handsets the HTC Desire 616 with octa core processor and the HTC One E8 with quad core processor will hit the stores soon for a price tag of Rs. 16,900 (octa core) and Rs. 34,990 for the quad core One E8.

Both the handsets supports dual SIM. Looking at the price tag, yes the E8 will be a costly affair but the Desire 616 looks really good with Octa Core and considering the HTC brand factor. The dual SIM desire 616 houses a 1.4GHz 8 core processor (chipset unknown). It could probably run on KitKat though not specifically mentioned.

616 comes with a 5 inch screen with decent 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. An 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash and a 2MP on the front is also included. There is 1GB RAM, 4GB storage and 32GB external card support. Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. This handset houses a 2000 mAh battery, and is priced at Rs. 16,900.

The HTC One E8 dual SIM comes powered by qualcomm snapdragon 801 – MSM8975AC quad core processor coupled with Adreno 330 GPU. It runs KitKat 4.4.2 over 2GB RAM and 16GB storage plus 128GB micro SD card support. Key highlights are 4G (LTE), 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS (GLONASS).

Quad core powered HTC One E8

There is 13MP rear AF camera and 5MP front camera. FHD video recording and playback is supported. The Super LCD3 screen is 5 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The HTC One E8 comes with Li-po non removable battery of 2600 mAh capacity that gives a talk time of up to 26 hours.

Octa core powered HTC  Desire 616

Desire 616 will be available within few weeks whereas the One E8 will hit the stores by end of this month or early August for Rs. 34,990.
