Honor brand have recently launched really good handsets with really good price tag. The latest one is the Honor 9 Lite that comes with an interesting price tag of Rs. 10,999. I bought this handset from the first sale on Flipkart.
Unboxing the Honor 9 Lite : Inside the box you will get the handset, user manual, warranty card, plastic case, USB to micro USB data cable and Travel Charger 5V/2A. SAR value mentioned on the phone is 1.06 W/kg.
Overall build and finishing is awesome, this phone is priced at Rs. 10,999 but has the look of Rs. 30K premium phones. There are 3 color options but the Grey one is like the looks of Rs. 50K phone, however that Grey color Honor 9 Lite will be a tough one to get, I think.
This unit that I got is a retail unit, which means I bought this from the first sale from Flipkart. And surprisingly this was the first time that I got the handset delivered on the same day i.e. I ordered it at 00:00 when the sale began and I got it the same day around 5PM.
The Honor 9 Lite comes with LED notification, OTG is supported and its packed with Accelerometer, proximity, light, magnetic, gyro and step sensors. There is glass on the front as well as on the back and its 2.5D curved (front / back), this gives a symmetrical look to the handset.
This handset comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and running EMUI 8 based on Android 8. There is 3000 mAh battery and the best thing I like about this handset is the size it comes with 5.65 inch screen with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, supports 10 point multi touch, very good screen quality and viewing angles.
Since the handset comes with 18:9 aspect screen it is packed into a smaller form factor – feels like using a 5 inch screen. There are dual microphones. 4G with VoLTE is supported, I did not find video calling icon in dialler.
Another unique thing is the dual cameras of 13MP + 2MP on the rear and dual cameras of 13MP + 2MP on the front. Wait for the full review, coming soon.
You can buy this handset from Flipkart for Rs. 10,999.
