Finally got the update on the Honor 9 Lite and this update added the much talked about face unlock on the Honor 9 Lite. You can check my video about how the face unlock works and I have also compared the Honor 9 Lite vs Redmi Note 5 Pro face unlock.
The update size on the Honor 9 Lite is around 523MB. After the update just go to security and tap face unlock and then register your face. The face unlock features works in good light condition, does not work in dark environments.
Face unlock on the Honor 9 Lite is decently fast but the finger print sensor is much faster. Face unlock also works with Goggles on, but there is a trick for it to work, check the video to know more about that.
I also compared the Face unlock on the Honor 9 Lite VS the Redmi Note 5 Pro to see which one is the fastest. Well the OnePlus 5T for now is still the fastest but among the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Honor 9 Lite I found the 9 Lite a little faster.
Some points to note when you press the power button the Redmi Note 5 Pro screen switches on first, Honor 9 Lite takes time, the face detection speed is the same, but in the end the home screen shows up first on the Honor 9 Lite when compared with the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
