Huawei has launched two handsets in Chinese markets the Honor 5 and Honor Note 8. The Honor 5 handset is priced at RMB 599 (approx Rs. 6K) and the Honor Note 8 falls into the premium category with price starting from RMB  2299 (approx Rs. 23K).

Honor 5 features and specifications

This dual SIM handset sports a 5 inch IPS screen with 720p resolution. It is running Lollipop with Emotion UI Lite with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM plus 128GB micro SD card support. Honor 5 is powered by MediaTek 1.3GHz MT6735p quad core chipset with Mali T720 GPU.

Primary camera is 8MP with dual LED flash and front camera is a 2MP shooter. Other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1. A 2200 mAh battery powers up this handset. Price in China is RMB 599.

Honor Note 8 features and specifications

This handset is running Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1. It is powered by Kirin 955 octa core chipset with Mali T880 GPU. Screen is 6.6 inches supporting Quad HD resolution and also using 2.5D curved glass.

There is 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB ROM and additional up to 128GB micro SD card support. Handset is a bit heavy at about 219 grams with built in battery. There is a 13MP camera on the back with dual tone LED flash and 8MP camera on the front.

Other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi (dual band), USB Type C port and Bluetooth. There is a finger print sensor too on the back. This handset gets power from a 4500 mAh battery (fast charging supported).

Honor Note 8 price in China is RMB 2299 with 32GB ROM, RMB 2499 with 64GB ROM and RMB 2799 with 128GB ROM.
