Huawei has launched the Honor 8 handset in the Chinese market. The Honor 8 handset is powered by Kirin 950 octa core chipset and key highlight is dual laser AF camera on the back. Handset will be available from 19th July in China and price starts from RMB 1999 that comes to approx Rs. 20K.

Honor 8 features and specifications

This handset comes with dual SIM slot – it’s a hybrid slot with 4G LTE support. Inside the hood there is the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa core processor (16nm) clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Mali T880 GPU. Screen is 5.2 inches with 2.5D curved glass and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

EMUI 4.1 runs the show over Marshmallow with optional 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM or 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB ROM. Users can use Micro SD card of up to 128GB. Handset weight with 3000 mAh battery is 153 grams and thickness is 7.4mm.

Huawei honor 8 in China

The primary camera on the back is of 12MP resolution – there are dual 12MP cameras with laser AF and dual tone LED flash support. Front camera is of 8MP resolution. Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, IR (Infrared), Finger Print sensor on the back, NFC, GPS, BT 4.2 dual band WiFi and USB Type C port.
