Though the Gionee Pioneer P6 body is made of plastic the rear panel looks like metal because of the circular texture. Build quality and finishing is good. Body is glossy black colour with silver strip all along the sides.

I tried Asphalt 8 that got installed on the external storage. Game was playable in the highest visual mode. The graphics quality was not that good, it was kind of smudged.

Others
Sound is loud and clear. I did not find any issues with 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Handset does not heat up much.

The flip cover gives a new and unique look. You will need to stick the flip cover on the back panel. Flip cover is with velvet material and comes with a window on the front (without glass). It is a magnetic flip cover that will show the time, date and notification on the flip window.

Verdict
The Gionee Pioneer P6 is using the well known 1.3GHz MediaTek quad core chipset. Other features are too basic like the 5MP camera (with below average performance) and 5 inch screen with FWVGA resolution. Considering the price tag of approx Rs. 8,200 and the specification the P6 is pricy.

With this price and specs the P6 simply cannot compete with the Lenovo A6000 and the Yureka smartphones.
