Gionee had already launched the Marathon M5 Lite a lighter version of Marathon M5 in China for RMB 999. The company has now launched the Gionee Marathon M5 Lite in India for ₹12,999. This handset houses a 4000 mAh battery.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite is powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali T720 GPU. This is a dual SIM handset running Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. This smartphone comes with a 5 inch screen that is protected with Asahi dragon trail glass and supports 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
M5 Lite is loaded with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and micro SD card support of up to 128GB. Handset is 8.5mm thick and weight with battery is 183 grams. An 8MP primary camera is on the rear with flash and it can shoot 1080p videos. The camera on the front is a 5MP shooter (fixed focus).
