At an event in China, Gionee launched a new handset called the Gionee M5 Plus. This smartphone houses a 5020 mAh battery and sports a 6 inch AMOLED screen. M5 Plus is priced at RMB 2499 that comes to approx ₹25K.

Gionee M5 Plus is powered by MediaTek MT6753 64 bit octa core chipset coupled with Mali T720 GPU. The CPU is clocked at 1.3GHz. Android 5.1 with Amigo 3.1 runs out of the box over a 6 inch AMOLED screen with a 2.5D glass and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

This dual SIM handset is packed with 3GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage space and there is a micro SD card slot to add up to 128 GB external cards. A 13MP AF primary camera with flash is placed on the rear and a 5MP fixed focus camera is on the front.

Gionee M5 PLus launched

M5 Plus weight with battery is 208 grams and handset is 8.4mm thick. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, finger print scanner, WiFi and USB Type C port. As mentioned a 5020 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging capabilities powers up this handset.

Gionee M5 Plus is priced at RMB 2499 in China. Gionee M5 has already been launched in India plus they recently announced the M5 Lite.
