After the Elife S5.5, Gionee Mobiles has launched the Elife S5.1 smartphone in China. This handset is just 5.1 mm thick and already found its way in the Guinness Book of World Records. Presenting the Gionee Elife S5.1 the slimmest smartphone, it will be made available in India in November.

The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The super AMOLED touch screen display is 4.8 inches supporting HD resolution – 1280 x 720 pixels. The handset supports 4G LTE.

Elife S5.1 also comes with an 8MP camera on the rear. Rear camera is auto focus with LED flash support and can shoot FHD videos. The front camera is with a good 5MP resolution perfect for selfies (there is no flash support for the front camera).

There is 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, looks like the micro SD option is missing. The S5.1 sails on Amigo UI 2.0 based on Android 4.3. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Battery is Li-po of 2100 mAh capacity.

Gionee Elife S5.1 the slimmest

Gionee Elife S5.1 is launched in China for CNY 1999 that comes to approx Rs. 20K in India. The handset will hit the Indian stores somewhere in November and could be priced between Rs. 17,000 to Rs. 24,000. Gionee what’s next? 6 pack, 8 pack!
