Gionee today launched the Gionee Elife E8 and the Gionee Marathon M5 in China. The M5 comes packed with a mind-blowing 6020mAh battery. The E8 on the other hand comes loaded with 24MP primary camera.

Gionee Elife E8 is successor to the Elife E7, remember the one with the best camera, well E8 gets even better, much better. On the hardware front the E8 is using the MediaTek MTK6795 64 bit octa core processor clocked at 2GHz. It is running Amigo 3.1 (64 bit based on android Lollipop) out of the box with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. There is micro SD card slot too, and it supports max 128GB external cards.

Elife E8 sports a 6 inch screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The 24MP camera can focus objects within 0.08 to 0.2 seconds, though 24MP is the max resolution you can shoot up to 120MP resolution using software interpolation (Image+). Front camera is of 8MP resolution. The primary camera can shoot 4K videos. Rear camera comes with dual tone LED flash.

This is a dual SIM handset weighing about 207 grams and 9.6mm thick. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS. The E8 also comes with a touch type finger print scanner on the rear.

The handset gets power from a 3520 mAh battery and is priced at 3999 RMB that comes to approx Rs. 41K in India. It will go on sale in China from 15th July, no word about its availability and price in India.
