Gionee has launched a dual SIM quad core powered smartphone called the Gionee CTRL V4S with HotKnot technology. This handset runs on android KitKat and supports 3G. CTRL V4S is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be available soon.

The Gionee CTRL V4S houses a MediaTek 1.3GHz processor (Cortex A7) with Mali 400 MP GPU. It runs Android 4.4 over a 4.5 inch IPS screen with FWVGA – 854 x 480 pixels resolution. The V4S is 7.8mm slim and comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage with 32GB external card support.

This dual SIM handset also includes an 8MP camera with LED flash and another camera of 2MP on the front. HD video recording is supported. There is accelerometer, proximity, light and magnetic sensors. SAR values are 0.74 W/Kg @ 1g body and 0.45 W/Kg @ 1g head.

The HotKnot technology is a cheaper alternative to the NFC technology though the transmission speed is not as good as on NFC, however this technology is good enough for pairing devices and for low data transmission speed. It makes used of touch sensors for communication, G-Sensor for confirming contact and proximity sensors to detect object in range.

Gionee CTRL V4S quad core smartphone for Rs. 9,999

Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The 1800 mAh battery gives talk time of up to 10 hours on 3G networks. The Gionee CTRL V4S will be available in White and Black colour options for Rs. 9,999.
