Elephone has launched two new smartphones the Elephone Vowney that houses the 64 bit MT6795 processor & comes with 2K display and the Elephone Vowney Lite that is a trimmed down version of Vowney.

The Elephone Vowney is a high end smartphone that sports a 5.5 inch IPS LCD screen supporting 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It houses the MediaTek MT6795 64 bit octa core processor – chipset supports 2K display. CPU is clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled with G6200 GPU.

The Vowney will be running Android 5.1 with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, plus micro SD card support of up to 64GB. This handset also comes with a 20.7MP camera using the SONY IMX230 sensor with fast focusing (0.3 sec). Rear camera can shoot 4K videos and also comes with dual tone LED flash support. Front camera is an 8MP shooter.

Key features are dual SIM, 4G (2300 band is not supported), 3G, finger print scanner Touch ID based, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. This handset gets power from 4200 mAh battery. The Elephone Vowney pre-booking has started, shipping will begin from 31st October.

Elephone will also launch a lite version called the Elephone Vowney Lite that will also be powered by MT6795 octa core processor, it will however sport a 5.5 inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, will be loaded with 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and sail on Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. The Elephone Vowney Lite will be cheaper – the price has not yet been disclosed.
