Elephone has launched two new smartphones the Elephone S2 and the S2 Plus. These handsets comes with a classy glamorous look with diamond cutting texture layer. The S2 is priced at $159.99 and the S2 Plus for $169.99 (pre-order starts from 5th June 2015).

Both the Elephone S2 and the S2 Plus are using the same hardware i.e. MediaTek MT6735 64 bit quad core chipset with Mali T720 GPU. Android 5.1 is running out of the box with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Micro SD card up to 32GB is supported. There is 13MP AF camera with flash on the rear and a 2MP camera on the front. It is a dual SIM handset with dual standby mode.

The S2 / S2 Plus comes with two high hardness tempered glasses on both sides with Alu Alloy frame. It’s using a metal frame, handset is light weight and slim. The diamond glass on the back reflects different shades from different angles.

Elephone S2 sports a 5 inch screen with HD resolution and it gets power from a 2100 mAh battery. The S2 is 6.8mm thick. S2 Plus sports a 5.5 inch HD screen, it is 6.9mm thick and gets power from a 2600 mAh battery.

Other features are 4G (FDD), 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS and Bluetooth.

Pre-bookings for the Elephone S2 and the S2 Plus will begin from 5th June for $159.99 (approx Rs. 10200) and $169.99 (approx Rs. 10,800) respectively.
