Coolpad is all set to launch a new handset on January 15th 2016. They have already sent out invites for the event and have also started teasing about the new launch on social networks. One such tweet with the image ‘Small is the new Big‘ indicates something smaller probably with a lower price tag.
I guess the company might launch a handset that may not be competing with the recently launched Lenovo K4 Note but might actually be competing with Coolpad Note 3 itself, probably something cheaper than the Note 3.
Now if you look at the Coolpad Note 3 specifications and compared it with K4 Note. Both the handsets are using the same MediaTek MT6753 octa core chipset. Note 3 and K4 Note are both using a 5.5 inch screen however with HD (coolpad) and FHD (Lenovo) resolution. RAM and ROM are the same 3GB RAM and 16GB storage.
Both the handsets support 4G and come with finger print scanner. Battery mAh is also near about the same – Note 3 (3000 mAh) and K4 Note (3300 mAh). If you ignore the dual speakers, 3 mics and Dolby ATMOS on the K4 Note, the Note 3 still is a very good option considering the price.
We will have to wait and see what the company will launch on the 15th of January 2016, I believe it will be something related to Note 3 (a trimmed down version) and cheaper.
