Byond Tech the Pune based company have added two more handsets to its family called the Byond B51 and B54. Both smartphones are powered by 1GHz processor running Gingerbread OS with price tag of Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 5,799 respectively.

Byond B51
This is a dual SIM handset with dual Standby mode. It comes powered by a 1GHz single core processor running Android 2.3.6 OS. The handset probably comes with 256 MB RAM and sports a 3.5 inch touch screen display with 480×320 pixel resolution.

Other features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack and micro USB port. It is not clear if the handset supports 3G or just the 2G network. A 1500 mAh battery powered the unit. There are dual cameras a 3MP rear and a 1.3MP front camera. The Byond B51 is priced at Rs. 4,999.

Byond B54
The B54 also comes with 1GHz processing power with dual SIM capabilities. The handset runs on Android 2.3.6 OS and sports a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 800×480 pixels. Other features are Wi-Fi, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and micro USB port. Not clear if 3G is supported.

The B54 comes with a rear 3MP camera and a 1.3MP front camera. You also get 4GB memory card free. The handset comes with proximity and Gsensors. The Byond B54 is priced at Rs. 5,799. Byond had recently launched the B63 model with JB OS.

Micromax today unveiled the quad core MMX A116 and the single core and even the dual core handsets are now outdated. We could see further price drop within few weeks.
