BlackBerry has now joined the Phablet bandwagon; they have announced the BlackBerry Z30 Phablet with a 5 inch screen supporting HD resolution with BB 10.2 OS . The price has not yet been disclosed.
The BlackBerry Z30 comes powered by dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and coupled with Adreno 320 GPU. The handset runs on BlackBerry 10.2 OS with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is a micro SD slot for additional storage.
The 5 inch touch screen is Super AMOLED with 1280×720 pixels resolution. There is 8MP rear facing auto focus camera and 2MP front facing fixed focus camera. Full HD (1080p) video recording is supported. The BlackBerry Z30 weighs about 170 grams and is 9.4mm thick.
This BB handset supports 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi (5GHz/2.4GHz) (a/b/g/n), GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, comes with on screen led indicator, dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB, NFC and DLNA. The Z30 comes with light, proximity, gyro, accelerometer and magnetic sensors.
Battery is of 2800 mAh capacity with up to 18 hours talk-time depending on the network. Standby time is up to 16 days. No word as to when it will be available in India.
