BlackBerry the well known brand has launched the BlackBerry DTEK50 smartphone that is running Android Marshmallow out of the box (fully Android). DTEK50 as per BlackBerry is also the most secure smartphone in the world. It is priced at $299 (Approx Rs. 20K).
BlackBerry DTEK50 features and specifications
Inside the hood the DTEK50 houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 64 bit octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU @ 550MHz. This smartphone is packed with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Plus the micro SD card slot can house cards of up to 2TB.
BlackBerry DTEK50 is running Android Marshmallow version 6.0 over a 5.2 inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution (424PPI), screen is scratch resistant. Handset weight with battery is 135 grams and thickness is 7.4mm. A 13MP primary camera with PDAF is placed on the back with dual tone LED flash. Front facing camera is of 8MP resolution (fixed focus). Rear as well as front camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, BT 4.2 (LE + EDR), NFC, FM radio, LED indicator, and WiFi (dual Band). The 2610 mAh battery supports fast charging – it can achieve 50% charge in 51 minutes (via QC 2.0). Expect talk time of up to 17 hours on a single charge.

The official website does not mentioned anything about if the handset comes with dual or single SIM slots, but the image shown has only one network bar, indicating single SIM.
DTEK50 security features
This handset is much more secure than any other smartphones thanks to the DTEK by BlackBerry. The DTEK will actively monitor the apps as well as the OS and will let you know when your privacy is at risk and suggest appropriate actions. User data is encrypted, they don’t have to worry about it even if they lose their smartphone.
There are a host of security features and plug-ins – WatchDox, SecSUITE for Enterprise, BES12, BlackBerry Enterprise Identity, BBM Protected, Good Work and Strong Authentication by BlackBerry.
BlackBerry DTEK50 can be pre-ordered for $299 in selected countries (not yet available in India).
