Binatone electronics has come out with a kid’s friendly tablet called the App Star with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. This tablet is specially made for kids of 4 years+ and comes with pre-loaded educational apps and games.

It seems to be the same tablet that is sold in UK as Binatone Kidzstar. It is just like any ordinary tablet but covered up in a nice orange colored protective case attached with a capacitive stylus.  The specifications though aren’t that impressive considering the price tag.

Binatone App Star sports a 7 inch screen with capacitive touch resolution unknown. There is front camera of VGA resolution. This tablet runs on Android OS and as mentioned comes with many pre-installed apps, games and educational stuffs. App Star doen’t come with built in SIM slot but I guess does support 3G via external dongles.

App Star houses 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. As for the commuting power this tablet comes with 1GHz processor (details unknown). There is G-Sensor, Wi-Fi , micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. The battery mAh is not disclosed by as per the company on a full charge the tab can be used continuously for over 5 hours – surfing the web.
