Remember the Beetel Magiq android tablet well now Beetel has launched another tablet called the Beetel Magiq Glide. This tablet has the same name “Magiq” and one might expect it to be an upgraded version of its predecessor.

The Beetel Magiq is available for a priced under Rs. 9,500 and the newer version, the Magiq Glide will carry a price tag of Rs. 11,999. But before you get excited about this new model let me tell you it is an exact copy of the Beetel Magiq with just one change. The Beetel Magiq Glide comes with a 7 inch capacitive touch screen where as the older version comes with 7 inch resistive touch screen.

Well technically it is just an improvement with the screen features and rest of the details are the same. In fact the most disappoint part is that the OS i.e. Froyo (Android 2.2) comes loaded on the Glide too. Another problem with Magiq Glide and the Magiq is that only Froyo OS is supported and users cannot upgrade it to android 2.3.

Beetel Magiq Glide feature

Magiq Glide Reviews

If you are looking for a comparison between the Beetel Magiq Glide and Beetel Magiq, there is just one difference the costlier version comes with a capacitive touchscreen whereas the low cost version houses a resistive touchscreen technology. You are just paying extra for the capacitive technology.

It would be wise to wait until the Aakash tablet is available that may also trigger a price drop for low cost tablets already doing well in the Indian markets.
