Asus at an event in Agra, launched the Asus Zenfone Zoom smartphone with a price tag of ₹37,999. The company claims that this is the thinnest 3x optical zoom smartphone in the world. This handset is power by Intel ATOM quad core processor.

Zenfone Zoom comes packed with 4GB on board RAM and optional 64GB/128GB internal storage. There is micro SD card support too, of up to 128GB. Weight with battery is 185 grams and thickness is 11.95mm.

Zoom comes with a 5.5 inch IPS screen supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and protected with corning gorilla glass 4 protection. Rear camera is a 13MP shooter that makes use of Laser AF to achieve the results in just 0.03 seconds.

Asus Zenfone Zoom launched in India

There is Dual tone LED flash on the rear. This primary camera gives DSLR type options in Manual Mode. Rear camera is using 10 element HOYA lens with 3X optical zoom capabilities and a total of 12x magnification. Front camera is a 5MP shooter.

Zoom is powered by 2.5GHz Intel Atom Z3590 64 bit quad core processor.

Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, NFC, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Zenfone Zoom gets power from a 3000 mAh Li-po battery.
