Asus launched a new handset in Zenfone family the Zenfone V. This handset has been launched in U.S and will be available exclusively for Verizon with / without contract. Asus Zenfone V is running Nougat and comes with 23MP rear camera.

Asus Zenfone V model V520KL is using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core processor, now this is a very old processor but still does perform. Processor CPU is clocked at 2.15GHz coupled with Adreno 530 GPU.

Zenfone V features a 5.2 inch AMOLED screen with 2.5D curved glass and with Gorilla Glass protection. Screen resolution is Full HD i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels. Zen UI 3.0 over Android 7 runs the show with 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM and external micro SD support of up to 256GB.

ZenFone V (V520KL, Verizon exclusive)

Handset weight is 147 grams and thickness is 7.6mm. The front camera is a 8MP shooter that comes with 88 degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. Rear camera can capture in 23MP resolution, using SONY IMX318 sensor, with f/2.0 aperture and following features – Laser AF, 3 Axis EIS and 4 Axis OIS.

Other features of Asus Zenfone V are finger print sensor, 4G, VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), USB Type C port, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. This smartphone houses a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging support.

Asus Zenfone V as mentioned will be Verizon exclusive in U.S. and will be priced at $348 (approx Rs. 25K) without contract. The handset will also be available on contract basis in the U.S.
