Along with Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom, the company also announced Asus Zenfone AR, this is the second device to support Tango. Zenfone AR handset is powered by SD 821 processor and packed with a good 8GB RAM.

Asus Zenfone AR features and specifications

Asus Zenfone AR is a Tango Augmented reality enabled device. This platform with the help of cameras and sensors provides motion tracking including 3D motion of devices in the current environment. The handset weight is 170 grams with battery and is 8.95mm thick.

Inside the hood it is powered by 64 bit qualcomm snapdragon 821 2.3GHz quad core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. Asus Zenfone AR features a 5.7 inch screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution (Quad HD). It’s a 10 point multi touch screen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Users can choose from 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM and with 32GB / 64GB / 128GB or 256GB storage options. It’s a dual SIM handset that also supports micro SD card of up to 2TB. The rear camera is a 23MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture and with dual tone LED flash support. Also supports TriCam system for tango. Font camera is an 8MP shooter.

Asus Zenfone AR announced at CES 2017

Additional features are 4G, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, finger print sensor, NFC, USB Type C, 5 magnet speakers, DTS support and Asus SonicMaster. Asus Zenfone AR houses a 3300 mAh battery with QC 3.0 support.

Asus has not yet revealed the pricing of Asus Zenfone AR.
