Asus has launched a lighter version of Asus Zenfone 5 that was a hot selling model in India. The new handset is called the Asus Zenfone 5 Light Model no. A502CG. This lighter version comes loaded with low end features and is priced at approx Rs. 7700 (PHP 5,595).
The Asus Zenfone 5 that is currently available in India is priced at Rs. 9,999. Now if you compared it with the Zenfone 5 Lite, you will find a lot of changes, – low end features, but that also helped reduce the price. As per the specifications mentioned on the Philippines website the Zenfone 5 A502CG is powered by Intel Atom Z2520 dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz (with hyper threading).
It is a dual SIM handset that weighs about 160 grams with battery and is 10.8mm thick. This handset is available in Cherry red, Charcoal Black and Pearl White colour options. Android KitKat runs out of the box with Zen UI over a 5 inch screen with qHD – 960 x 540 pixels resolution. There is 1GB RAM and 8GB storage along with 64GB external card support.
This Zenfone 5 comes with an 8MP auto focus camera with LED support and 0.3MP front facing camera. FHD video playback is supported. Key features are 3G, Wi-Fi, 2G, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The 2500 mAh Li-Po battery gives talk time of up to 21 hours on 3G networks.
No word about the Asus Zenfone 5 (A502CG) launch in India, and in India it could be priced at under Rs. 8,000.
