At MWC 2018 Asus announced series of smartphones in the Zenfone 5 series namely the Asus Zenfone 5, Asus Zenfone 5Z, Asus Zenfone 5 Lite and the Asus Zenfone 5 Max M1. Though the full specifications and details are out, however the price details have not yet been revealed.
Asus Zenfone 5
This dual SIM handset supports dual VoLTE. It features a 6.2 inch super IPS screen with 2246 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) resolution, with 2.5D curved glass also protected with corning Gorilla glass.
Inside the hood the Asus Zenfone 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa core processor @ 1.8 GHz with Adreno 509 GPU. There is 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage space. Plus micro SD support max 2TB.
ZenUI 5 with Android Oreo runs out of the box. On the back there is a 12MP camera with f/1.8, tri AF, dual pixel PDAF, OIS (4 axis) and another camera of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture – so dual cameras on the back. Front camera is a 8MP shooter, finger print sensor is included, there is DTS support.
Other features are 4G, VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type C and Bluetooth 5.0. A 3300 mAh battery powers the handset, supports Asus BoostMaster fast charging, AI charging. The Asus Zenfone 5 will come in exciting color options, no details about the price have been reveled so far.
Asus Zenfone 5 Lite
This is dual SIM handset powered by Snapdragon 630 octa core / Snapdragon 430 octa core. Screen is 6 inches with 2.5D curved glass and 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. There is 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options, plus 2TB max micro SD support.
Android Nougat with Zen UI 4 runs the show. On the rear there is a 16MP camera, f/2.2, supports 4K, EIS and front camera is 20MP f/2.0, SONY IMX376. A finger print sensor is included and other features are 4G, VoLTE, GPS, WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth. A 3300 mAh battery powered the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite, no word about the Zenfone 5 Lite price.
Asus Zenfone 5Z
This is dual SIM also supports dual VoLTE (dual VoLTE means, you can use 2 Jio SIM’s together), screen is 6.2 inches 2.5D curved glass, 2240 x 1080 pixels resolution, gorilla glass protected and super IPS. Inside the hood its using Snapdragon 845 octa core processor.
There is 4GB/74GB, 6GB/ 128GB and 8GB/256GB RAM / ROM options. Up to 2TB micro SD card is supported. Android 8 with Zen UI 5 runs out of the box. Coming to the camera there is 12MP f/1.8, OIS (4 axis), and 8MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture – so dual cameras on the rear.
Front camera is a 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture, using OV8856 sensor. Other features are VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, USB Type C port and Bluetooth 5. Finger print sensor is included on the back. The Asus Zenfone 5Z houses a 3300 mAh battery, support AI / ASUS BoostMaster fast charging.
Asus Zenfone 5Z price have been revealed its EURO 479 that comes to approx Rs. 38,000.
Asus Zenfone Max M1
This dual SIM handset is powered by Snapdragon 430 octa core / 425 quad core processor. Asus Zenfone Max M1 features a 5.7 inch 2.5D curved screen with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution. There is 2GB RAM/3GB RAM and 16/32GB internal storage options. 256GB max micro SD card is supported.
ZenUI 5.0 with Android 8.0 runs out of the box. On the back you will get 13/16 MP camera and another 8MP camera so dual cameras on the rear. On the front there is 8MP / 13MP camera. Both front / rear cameras came with f/2.0 aperture.
Other features are 4G, VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Finger print sensor. A 4000 mAh battery powers this handset. There are two variants the SD 425 variant is priced at $230 with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
