Asus unveiled the Zenfone 2 at CES 2015. This is an upgraded version of Zenfone, in fact a much better version that it’s predecessor. Asus Zenfone 2 houses Intel Atom 64 bit processor and comes with 4GB on board RAM. All this for  $199 (with 2GB RAM) – that comes to approx Rs. 13,000.

Zenfone 2 will hit the stores in March, no word about the availability in India. As far as the specifications are concerned this phone sports a 5.5 inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution (403ppi) – 3.3 mm bezel. The screen is with corning gorilla glass 3 protection. This smartphone is powered by (optional) 64 Bit quad core processor (Intel ATOM Z3560 clocked at 1.8GHz or Intel ATOM Z3580 clocked at 2.3GHz) with PowerVR G6430 GPU.

It is dual SIM with 4G LTE support. Weight is around 170 grams and handset is 10.9mm thick. Now do note there are two version of Zenfone 2 with optional chipset and with 2GB RAM or 4GB RAM. Users can choose from 16, 32 and 64GB internal storage options. There is micro SD card support too (64GB).

In addition a 13MP AF camera with dual LED flash is placed on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. Key features are NFC, GPS (GLONASS), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G and 2G.

Zenfone 2 comes with a 3000 mAh battery that can be charged from 0 to 60% in just about 40 minutes. I guess the Asus Zenfone 2 with 2GB RAM will be available for $199 and the price of Zenfone 2 with 4GB RAM will cost more.
