Asus has announced the PadFone E that sports a 4.7 inch screen and 10.1 inch tablet dock. The 4.7 inch screen supports 1280×720 pixels resolution and the Asus PadFone dock with a 10 inch screen also supports 720p resolution.

The PadFone is a tablet / phone concept – there are two devices the phone and the pad. The phone can be docked with the Pad converting it into a tablet. The handset is 4.7 inches with HD IPS screen and corning gorilla glass protection. The tab screen of 10.1 inches is also with same resolution with gorilla glass protection.

Phone weight is 126 grams and thickness is 9.08mm. The PadFone weighs about 525 grams and is of dimension 181.5×263.6×17.44mm. Android 4.3 jelly bean runs on this device with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage along with micro SD card support of up to 32GB. The Asus PadFone is powered by quad core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 305 GPU.

There is 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 1.2MP front camera. The Pad also has a dedicated front camera of 1MP resolution.  Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, 5GB Asus web-storage and GPS with GLONASS / A-GPS.

The phone battery is 1820 mAh and the Padfone itself comes with 5000 mAh battery. Approx price is Rs. 35K, not sure when this Asus PadFone E will be launched globally.
