The Asus Google Nexus 7 with Quad-core Tegra 3 Processor is now available in India. Asus India had already announced that the tab will be launched on 8th November via croma retail stores but for some reasons the Nexus 7 is not yet available there.  You may find it in stores within the next few days.

The link to the Nexus tablet on Croma retail has also been removed, for now, probably cause of no stock. However the tab is available on Homeshop18 for Rs. 21,750 with free shipping and on tradus.com for just around Rs. 16,500 onwards (shipping charges may apply).

The Asus Google Nexus 7 tab sports a 7 inch IPS screen with scratch resistant Corning glass supporting a resolution of 1280×800 pixels with 10 point multi touch.  It sails on NVIDIA quad core Tegra 3 processor running at 1.2GHz frequency along with 1GB of RAM.

The Nexus 7 comes with 16GB internal storage and a front facing 1.2 MP camera. This tab runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS that can be upgraded to 4.1.2 and claims about 9 hours of battery life on a single charge – battery capacity 4325 mAh. Other key features included are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm jack and NFC. The Nexus 7 weighs about 340 grams and is 10.45 mm thin.
