Asus G11CB Desktop is especially made for gaming users. G11CB is a power hardware that will easily run many high end games even on a 4K resolution. This desktop though very powerful hardly makes any noise. It is priced at around Rs. 1,00,000.
G11CB Unboxing
The box pack contains the G11CB desktop unit, a USB keyboard, USB mouse, user manual, warranty card and power cord. The keyboard comes with back-lit keys and has a volume controller knob that makes is much easier to increase or decrease the volume. Asus Mouse is also included in the box pack.
Asus G11CB Specifications
This desktop is made for gaming users powered by 6th Generation Intel Core processor. You can buy this with core i5 or i7 processor. The one I got for the review came packed with Intel Core i7 6700 processor @ 3.4GHz with NVIDIA GeForce GTX970 GPU with 4GB DDR5 RAM.
It was running Windows 10 Home edition with 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD – if you want you can also use 256GB M.2 PCIe x 4 SSD. There is 6 in 1 card reader, 2x USB 3.0 port, 2x USB 2.0 port, 1x headphone and 1x mic ports on the front and on the back there is 2x USB 3.1, 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI, 1x VGA, 1x RJ 45 and 1x 7.1 audio ports. Also included Optical Bluray DVD drive, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Aegis II, Asus command and Ai Charger II software comes pre-installed. The unique thing about this desktop is the LED lightings, once you switch on the desktop – it looks really awesome, even the keyboard light up, it gives you the same feel as you get on the Asus ROG laptops.
The biggest issue with performance desktops is the sound and heat. The Asus G11CB comes with efficient heat dissipation technique for effective cooling. The 5mm vents help keep the CPU cool, air is drawn from the front into the chassis for effective thermal management. The end result is that the CPU performs at its optimal levels and the heat buildup is pretty much under control. But the best part is the hardware sound, you hardly feel it.
Another unique thing about the Asus G11CB is the desktop LED light you can actually change the color and choose from any color you want. Gaming users spend a lot of time around their desktops, this is a good option to let the users choose the color they like as per their mood.
Performance
From the specs it is clear that the hardware is very powerful. NovaBench Benchmark score was 2107. This hardware can play many games. I tried FarCry 4. You need a high quality monitor for better results, I did not have one but I was able to connect the G11CB with my HDMI TV with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It did well but would have been much better and even better on a 4K monitor.

Verdict
The Asus G11CB is a very powerful gaming desktop that boots up with few seconds (check video review). If you are a heavy gaming user this Desktop is for you. You can play latest games and when it comes to the Desktop operating sound it’s too low, hardly audible.
