The Apple iPhone SE goes official; Apple announced it at an event in US. iPhone SE is a compact phone using 64 Bit chipset, running iOS 9.3 and sporting a 4 inch screen. This handset is listed on Apple India website and will be launched in India in April for ₹39,000 (16GB version).
Apple iPhone SE houses the 64 bit A9 chipset with embedded M9 motion co-processor. This handset is running iOS 9.3 over a 4 inch retina display supporting 1136 x 640 pixels resolution. The home button doubles up as Touch ID based finger print scanner.
There is accelerometer, proximity, light and GYRO sensors. A 12Mp iSight camera is packed on the rear with true tone flash. This camera can record 4K videos at 30fps and slow motion videos of 1080p resolution at 120 fps and 720p resolution at 240fps. Front camera is 1.2MP (FaceTime HD), it can shoot 720p videos.
Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Siri and GPS with GLONASS. Apple iPhone SE weight with battery is 113 grams and thickness is 7.6mm. On a full charge the iPhone SE as per the company will give up to 14 hours of talk time on 3G, up to 13 hours video playback, up to 50 hours audio playback and up to 13 hours of internet use (WiFi).
Apple iPhone SE (Silver, Grey, Rose Gold and Gold colour options) will be launched in India in April 2016 – the 16GB version will be priced at ₹39,000.
Update: According to weibo.com the iPhone SE comes with 2GB RAM.
