It is just a matter of few weeks; the Apple iPad mini will soon hit the Indian markets for a price tag of approx Rs. 22K for the Wi-Fi version with 16GB storage. The Google nexus 7 on the other hand has already been launched in India for a price of under Rs. 20k.
There will be some competition between the Nexus 7 and the iPad mini. The 32GB and 64GB iPad Mini version may be priced at around Rs. 28K and Rs. 34K respectively.
The iPad mini (the mini version of the Apple ipad) comes powered by dual core A5 processor, 7.9 inch display with 1024×768 pixels resolution, 5MP rear and 1.2MP front cameras with 1080p video recording, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth 4.0. The battery backup is around 10 hours.
The Nexus 7 is powered by quad core 1.2 GHz processor (Nvidia Tegra 3) with ULP GeForce GPU. This tab houses a 7 inch screen with 1280×800 pixels resolution. Other features included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, front 1.2 MP camera with 720p video recording and 3.5mm jack.
Apple iPad mini is dual core but with 5MP rear camera whereas the Nexus 7 is quad-core without a rear camera. The display screen on the mini is also 0.9 inches bigger than the Nexus 7.
I believe the price tag will play a crucial role. So which one would you go with the mini or the Nexus 7? Leave a comment.
