I got comments from some users using Android One smartphones, regarding Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates being being rolled out on Android One devices. In fact some of them have already updated it.

The latest Android – the Marshmallow version 6.0 has been officially released and many devices will initially get the update from October onwards, that includes Nexus and Android One as well. It seems Micromax Canvas A1 got the Android 6.0 update and some users have successfully upgraded it. The update size as mentioned by one user is around 338 MB.

If you are using any of the Android One devices, you might have got the update notification. Let us know if you have upgraded your smartphone and what difference did it make, and also mention about the overall performance and battery backup after the update.

Those planning to upgrade make sure to keep the battery level at over 75% and then proceed. Use a good net connection to download the file, preferably Wi-Fi. Most likely data / apps you installed will be intact, but better take a backup.
