The Sony Xperia Z3 and the Z3 compact have started receiving Android Lollipop updates. Some users have already installed it, the update will be rolled out in a phased manner not every Z3 user will get the updates immediately.
This will be an OTA (Over the Air) update, users will get the notification or they can manually check for system updates via settings -> about phone -> system updates. In case you have still not got the update notification wait for few more days.
The Xperia Z3 is powered by snapdragon 801 quad core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. It comes loaded with 3GB RAM, 16GB storage and micro SD card support. The handset sports a 5.2 inch screen with full HD resolution.
Sony Xperia Z3 also comes loaded with 20.7MP rear AF camera with LED flash and a 2.2MP front camera. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS. Z3 gets power from a 3100 mAh battery.
The Xperia Z3 compact is also powered by 2.5GHz qualcomm snapdragon 801 processor sporting a smaller screen of 4.6 inch screen with 720p resolution. This handset comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and micro SD card support.
The Z3 compact is loaded with 20.7MP rear AF camera and 2.2MP front camera similar to as seen on the Z3. Key features are also the same. The compact Z3 gets power from 2600 mAh battery.
