Another Alcatel model the OneTouch Idol Alpha showed up on Snapdeal for Rs. 16,990 initially, but now the price has been updated to Rs. 23,270. The Alpha Slate sports 4.7 inch floating edge to edge display with metal body and powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor.

The price is just too high, even at Rs. 17,000. The Idol Alpha is powered by MediaTek MT6589 quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. When Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ octa core is available for under Rs. 17K with better specifications why would one spend money on this.

It is a single Micro SIM handset running Android 4.2 with 1GB RAM, 16GB storage and 32GB external card support. Idol Alpha comes with 13MP rear camera – it’s auto focus with LED support. Another camera of 1.3MP is placed on the front. FHD video and playback are supported.

The 4.7 inch LCD IPS screen with dragon trail glass and oleophobic coating supports 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. There is 2000 mAh Li-ion battery that gives 10 hours talk-time on 3G networks.
