Alcatel will be launching the One Touch Idol X+ handset on 29th May in India. The Idol X+ sports a 5 inch screen with FHD resolution and it is powered by Octa core processor. The pricing details will be revealed on the launch day.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ handset will also be made available exclusively on Flipkart probably from the launch day itself. This handset is powered by 2GHz MT6592 MediaTek octa core processor with Mali 450 GPU. This is the same hardware that is used on the Micromax Canvas Knight.

It is a dual SIM handset with a 5 inch screen supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The screen will come with Oleophobic coating, NEG glass for clearer view and with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

The One Touch Idol X+ runs on Android 4.2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage option (12.3GB available for users). There is no micro SD card slot.

The X+ also comes with 13.1MP rear camera (AF) with flash and 2MP front camera. Rear camera can capture 1080p videos at 30fps and the handset in general is capable of playing 2160p videos at 30fps.

Key features are 3G (21Mbps), Wi-Fi (b/g/n) with direct / display options, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with A-GPS. The 2500 mAh battery as per the company gives talk-time of up to 16 hours on 3G networks. Battery can be fully charged in up to 3 hours.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ will be launched on Thursday, stay tuned for the price.
