Alcatel will launch the Idol 4 handset in India on 8th of December 2016. The company has already started sending out invites for the same. The Alcatel Idol 4 is world’s first VR packaging bundle. This handset is powered by Snapdragon 617.

The Idol 4 smartphone sails on Android marshmallow version 6.0, touch screen is 5.2 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution – 16M colors / 10 point multi touch support. This handset is powered by qualcomm snapdragon 617 64 bit octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 405 GPU.

Alcatel Idol 4 is packed with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 512GB micro SD card support. On the back there is a 13MP AF camera with a f/2.0 aperture, dual tone LED flash support, video stabilization (EIS) and Slow motion. Front camera is wide angle 84 degrees with 8MP resolution.

Additional features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G,NFC, WiFi (dual band), GPS, Deezer from Crikert, VR launcher, Boom key for instant photo and Waves sound technology. The 2610 mAh battery that the handset houses supports quick charge and on a full charge gives up to 17 hours talk time on 3G networks.
